GarbSoccer ("we", "our", or "us") operates the GarbSoccer mobile application and website (the "Service"). This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you use our Service.

Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, phone number (optional), and password. Administrators may create accounts on behalf of players.

Profile Information: You may optionally provide a profile photo, which is stored securely.

Usage Data: We collect information about matches you participate in, including goals, assists, cards, team assignments, and game statistics. This data is used to provide the core functionality of the Service.

Payment Information: We track payment status (paid/unpaid) for group management purposes. We do not process credit card payments or store financial account information.

Device Information: When you enable push notifications, we collect your device token to send notifications. We also collect basic device information (platform, user agent) for diagnostic purposes.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide, maintain, and improve the Service
• Send match invitations, reminders, and notifications
• Generate player statistics, leaderboards, and trophies
• Facilitate team draws and tournament management
• Track payment status within groups
• Send transactional emails (match invites, password resets, awards)
• Send push notifications about matches and group activity

3. Information Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information to third parties. Your information may be shared in the following limited circumstances:

• Within your groups: Your name, statistics, and game performance are visible to other members of your soccer groups.
• Group administrators: Admins of your groups can view your contact information, payment status, and game statistics.
• Service providers: We use Resend for email delivery and Apple Push Notification service (APNs) for push notifications. These services process data only as needed to deliver messages.

4. Data Security

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted passwords (bcrypt hashing), secure HTTPS connections, and JWT-based authentication. However, no method of electronic storage is 100% secure.

5. Data Retention

We retain your personal information for as long as your account is active. Group administrators may delete match history and statistics. You may request deletion of your account by contacting us.

6. Your Rights

You have the right to:

• Access and update your personal information through the app
• Change your email and password at any time
• Request deletion of your account and associated data
• Opt out of push notifications through your device settings

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.
